Selecting the proper material for your medical device is a crucial step in the product development process, as it has the power to affect the quality, functionality, manufacturability, longevity and mechanical properties of your device. For over 40 years TESco has worked with a variety of custom, proprietary and standard polymer and compounded materials, so we know what materials work well with your medical device and which ones don’t. We work closely with our customers to help them select the proper bioabsorbable or non-bioabsorbable material that will help them produce the best results for their medical device.
Identifying the correct material requires an extensive knowledge of bioabsorbables and thermoplastics, as well as an understanding on how each material can affect the tolerance, dimension, design, speed-to-market and overall cost.
